Jan Borek

Graduated in Musicology and Philosophy from Palacký University in Olomouc. Former contributing and managing editor of Harmonie magazine. As a music critic, he focuses primarily on contemporary classical and experimental music, while his academic research specializes on progressive rock from the 1970s to the present day, as well as the theory and practice of art criticism. Since 2024 he has been the President of the Czech Musicological Society and editor-in-chief of its Forum of Musicology journal.
