The Apollo Moon Landing – 50 Years On

As some 500 million people watched a live televised broadcast (the largest ever TV audience at the time), the commander of the Apollo 11 mission Neil Armstrong emerged from the Lunar Module called the Eagle and – in his NASA spacesuit - became the first man in history to step onto the Moon’s dusty surface.

(CUIP) will host the 7th National Conference on Knowledge and Technology Transfer on May 15, 2019 at Prague’s Orea Pyramida Hotel, dovetailing with the Via Carolina Fair on May 16, an innovations fair at the Kino Dlabačov movie theatre (located at the same address in Prague 6).
Sozanský triptych installed at Carolinum
A triptych by Czech artist Jiří Sozenský, commemorating the sacrifice of student Jan Palach (who died at the age of 20 from severe burns from self-immolation in January 1969), was unveiled on April 4 at Charles University’s Carolinum.
